Adena Tubbs, 71, of Alma and formerly of Cedar Springs, passed away Monday, June 18, 2018, at MidMichigan Medical Center Gratiot in Alma. Her funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery concluding with a meal at Lincoln Reception Center (attached to the funeral home). The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00-2:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Adena was born March 11, 1947, in Cheboygan, MI, daughter of the late Merton Tubbs and Winifred (Potter) Cole. A graduate of Breckenridge High School, Adena was active with the Salvation Army Church. Some of her favorite pastimes were traveling, coloring, crocheting, knitting, puzzles, and baking. Adena is survived by seven children, Lola (Edward) Waldron of Cedar Springs, twins, Tammy (Lyonial Skeet) Reynolds of Coral and Teresa (Bill) Fetters of Wheeler, Matthew Byers of Mt. Pleasant, Heidi (Jeremy) Wood of Mt. Pleasant, and twins, Tim (Nicole) Byers of Mt. Pleasant and Robin (Greg) Wing of Vestaburg; 14 grandchildren, Ed Waldron Jr., Derek Waldron, Joeseph Waldron and Miranda Harwood, Mark Reynolds, John Reynolds and Mindy Reynolds, Dirk Boshaw and Blake Fetters, Kellie Frazier and Madison Wood, Timmy Byers Jr., and Greg McCall III and Mykallah LaClear; 10 great grandchildren, Tessa, Sawyer, Jordyn, Lexie, Korbin, Lillian, Isabelle, Rhylee, Faith, and Grayson; eight step-grandchildren; eleven step-great grandchildren; four siblings, Darwin (Karlyn) Tubbs of Edenville Judy (Oscar) Hagerman of Farwell, Charles Cole of Midland and Debra Honeycutt of Mt. Pleasant; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two grandchildren, Robert Boshaw and Devon Wood.
