Albert Gross Jr.

Bert Gross Jr., 53, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Monday, Sept. 15, 2008, at Hospice House in Mt. Pleasant. His funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 19, at the Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home, 2300 S. Lincoln Rd., Mt. Pleasant. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 3-8 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. until the service begins. Memorial contributions may be made to the Norval Morey Cancer Center at Central Michigan Community Hospital. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Bert was born July 23, 1955, in Durand, the son of Albert D. and Rosanna M. (Petoskey) Gross. A self-employed mechanic, Bert was extremely gifted at fixing most anything from automobiles to cell phones. Bert is survived by his companion of 33 years, Dianne Wells of Mt. Pleasant; three children, Wade Briggs of Flint, Kisha Culver of Grand Rapids, and Zacharia (fiance, Roberta) Gross of Mt. Pleasant; grandson, Adrian Gross, as well as other grandchildren; father, Albert Gross Sr. and his wife, Patricia of Harrison; and two brothers, Barry (Kelly) Gross of Harrison and Kevin Gross of Petoskey. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosanna Gross.
