Alice I. Williams-Sweeter

Alice I. Williams-Sweeter, age 75, of Barryton went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 14, 2016.

Alice was born on May 4, 1940 to Lavelle E. and Melva I. (Holsinger) Halcome in Flint, MI.She graduated from St. Johns High School. On July 14, 2001 Alice married Milton Sweeter in Houghton Lake at the family cabin. She attended the Weidman Baptist Church and she loved the Lord.

Alice enjoyed crocheting, cooking, fishing, hunting and traveling. Alice was known as being an avid member of the D.A.V Chapter # 18 of Big Rapids.

Alice is survived by her children, son; William Thayer, daughter; Judi Scott and a special child; Douglas Lee. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren & 2 great grandchild.She also leaves behind to cherish her memory a loving church family.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband Milton in 2006 and sister, Madeline Birdsall in 1996.

A funeral service celebrating Alice's life will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Weidman Baptist Church, 7555 W. Airline Rd. Weidman, MI.Friends may gather with family at a visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 am prior to the service.

Memorial donation in Alice's honor may be made to the Weidman Baptist Church or D.A.V Chapter # 18 of Big Rapids. Envelopes will be available at the church and funeral home.
