It is with heavy hearts that the family of Amy Lynn Starin announces her passing on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the age of 51.
Amy was born on February 4, 1974, in Lansing, Michigan, and she was a 1993 graduate of Everett High School. Amy will be remembered as a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, granddaughter, and friend. She is survived by her mother, Pennie Colomina; her sister, Lisa Colomina; and her nephews, Camryn and Colin Fernholz. She also leaves behind her grandmother, Marilyn Hornus; stepmother, Crystal Starin; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Dale Starin; her grandparents, Virginia (Nick) Colarelli and Floyd (Yvonne) Starin; her step-father Richard Colomina; and her aunts, Cynthia Lou Jones and Catherine Stevenson.
Amy found joy in the simple and meaningful things of life. A proud graduate of Everett High School, Class of 1993, she carried the lessons of her education with her always, shaping her empathy, her understanding, and her love of people. Music was a constant companion to Amy, especially the R&B and rock and roll hits of the 1980s that filled her heart with happiness. She also adored her loyal Yorkie, Riley, and spent many peaceful hours coloring, bringing beauty and creativity to the pages before her.
Those who knew Amy will remember her warmth, her compassion, and her ability to make others feel loved. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and connection that her family and friends will always carry with them.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home. A celebration of Amy's life will take place at a later date, where her family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the love she so generously shared.
