Andrew Alan Neal

Andrew Alan Neal, 26, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2009, at his home. Following his wishes, Andrew has been cremated and no local services are planned. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan or the Humane Animal Treatment Society of Mt. Pleasant. Envelopes are available at the Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. Andrew was born June 27, 1982, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Stanley Neal and Susan Jacob. He graduated from H. H. Dow High School in Midland in 2000. He received a BA in Spanish and International Relations from Michigan State University in 2004, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami Law School in 2007. Andrew particularly loved the year he spent studying Spanish at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras. He brought much joy and laughter to others and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his parents; his Aunt Amy and Uncle Jim Hetzler and cousins Lucy and Mike Hetzler; his Aunt Jane and Uncle Bill White and cousins Peyton and Peter White; his Aunt Gail Neal and cousin Dionne Neal; and his two canine pals, Maggy and Spike.
