Andrew John Perschbacher

Andrew Perschbacher, 63, of Mt. Pleasant and formerly of Grand Rapids, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2021, at his home, due to natural causes. He was born November 19, 1957, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, son of the late Wesley John and Selma "Sally" A. (Hanson) Perschbacher. He graduated from high school in Illinois and earned his bachelor's degree from Baptist Bible Translators Institute in Bowie, TX. He was a missionary pastor for 34 years. Andrew married Jackie Atkison on August 17, 1979, in Alsip, Illinois. He is survived by his wife of nearly 42 years, Jackie; three children, Joshua Perschbacher of Mt. Pleasant, Rebecca (Robert) Perschbacher-Mingus of Mt. Pleasant, and Andrea (Oussama) Smali of Mt Pleasant; two grandsons, Shiloh and Sullivan; five siblings, Norda Sturm, Charles (Kim) Perschbacher, Ruth (Bill) Morton, Dan (Linda) Perschbacher, and Linda Leman; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 9, at Blythefield Memory Gardens in Belmont, Michigan. All are welcome.
