Ann Dennett, 70, of Mt. Pleasant and formerly of Midland died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2005 at Covenant Cooper Hospital in Saginaw. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, at St. Mary University Parish in Mt. Pleasant with Fr. Rob Howe presiding. Burial will be in Midland Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Friends may call at Lux Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m with a vigil service beginning at 7 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Ann was born Dec. 24, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of George and Edna (Hoary) Brickner. After graduating from Marymount High School in Arlington, VA in 1953, she received her Associate degree in Art from Delta College. She also attended Michigan Tech and Central Michigan University. She moved to Mt. Pleasant in 1985 from Midland. Beside her love for art, Ann loved music and playing the piano. She was a member of St. Mary Parish and a former member of Sacred Heart Parish where she sang in the choir. She was also involved in the Foster Grandparents program. Ann is survived by three children, Marie Dennett of New York, and Michael Dennett and Thomas Dennett, both of Midland; two grandchildren, Marlee and Andrea; and a brother, Kenneth (Marylou) Brickner of Laurel MD.
