Ann Laraway, 73, of Lake Isabella, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2020 at her home, with her family by her side. She was born March 17, 1947, in Monroe, Michigan, daughter of the late Melvin and Pearl (Gotha) Zimmerman. She graduated from Ida High School in 1965. She met Robert Laraway a year prior to graduation. She was described as his angel. They married on January 21, 1967 in Ida, MI. Ann enjoyed gardening and loved to cook. She was a member of the Cornerstone church in Mt. Pleasant where she frequently volunteered. She was known as Grandma Donut by her grandchildren. Her family was very important to her and she loved them all dearly. Ann is survived by her husband of 53 years, Bob; and they were blessed with three children, Phyllis (Bill) Scott of Lake Isabella, Karen Chapin of Shepherd, and Robert (Beth) Laraway of Houston TX; siblings, Mary Evans of Detroit, Joyce Archambault of Saginaw, Rose Cole of Ohio, Carol Dart of Monroe, Bertha (Wayne) Rinehart of Ohio and John (Carol) Zimmerman of Temperence; seven grandchildren, Lizzi, Billy, Kimberly, Kendra, Bryan, Scott and Cole; great grandson, Matthew; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both her parents; and brother, Melvin Zimmerman. A private funeral will be celebrated at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home on Thursday, May 21, at 11 a.m. and will be streamed live from Anns tribute page on the funeral homes website. Pastor Stephen Mowat will officiate. Private burial will be in Two Rivers Cemetery in Deerfield Township. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to Cornerstone Wesleyan Church, 2214 S Lincoln Rd, Mt Pleasant, MI 48858.
