Ann Elise Walker

Ann Elise Walker, a beloved sister and aunt, passed away Monday, June 9, 2025, with her family by her side, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of kindness. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Leonard and Ruth (Utting) Walker. Ann was born October 21, 1957, in Mt. Clemens, Michigan.

Ann dedicated several years of her career to Michigan State University, where she made her mark through her work. Outside of her profession, she found joy in visiting her family, joining in on a game of Yahtzee, and most recently, developed a fondness for watching Hallmark movies. Her deep faith and devotion to God were central to her life, guiding her through each chapter with steadfast belief.

She is survived by her brother, David (Pamela) Walker of West Branch; nieces and nephews, Eileen (Marc) North of West Branch, Dan (Kasha) Walker of Mio, Andrew Walker of West Branch, and Emily (Jeffrey) Schmitt of Hillsdale; and great niece and nephews, Sarah and Charles North and Jed Walker.

A Funeral Mass for Ann will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, June 13, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mt. Pleasant. Father Matt Gembrowski will preside. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:30 a.m. until Mass begins. Those who knew Ann are invited to honor her life with her family as well as in their own reflections and remembrances. Ann will be laid to rest at Hyslop Cemetery in Sandusky, Michigan.
