Anna Jane McFarlane, 79, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2011, at The Laurels. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, at St. Henrys Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Henrys Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with the Vigil beginning 7 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Tuesday one hour prior to the Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Henrys Cemetery Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Anna Jane was born Dec. 20, 1931, in Detroit the daughter of the late Thomas and Anna Barklay. She married the late Robert H. McFarlane. She taught CCD for over 25 years and was a member of the Catholic Daughters. While she was a resident of The Laurels, Anna Jane was head of patient committee. Prior to that, she had volunteered at Listening Ear. Anna Jane is survived by five children, Deborah (Randy) Rolston of Mt. Pleasant, William (Lori) McFarlane of Naples, FL, James (Christine) McFarlane of Mt. Pleasant, James (Sarah) Campbell of Mt. Pleasant, and Sister Marie LaVerne of Wisconsin; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Harold in 1977; two brothers; and one sister.
