Anna M. Wohlscheid, 93, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility. Anna was born November 29, 1931, in Beal City, Michigan, daughter of the late Leo and Anna (Bierschbach) Reihl. She graduated from Beal City High School in 1950 and on June 13, 1953, married the love of her life, Robert J. Wohlscheid at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Beal City. Ann worked as a childcare provider for 30 years. She enjoyed playing cards, working in her yard, walking, and above all, spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Robert (Joni) Wohlscheid Jr. of Bay City, Karen Wohlscheid of Mt. Pleasant, Lori (Kevin) Wangberg of Mt. Pleasant, and Brian (Sherry) Wohlscheid of Mt. Pleasant; seven grandchildren, Joe, Adam, Daniel, and Ryan Wohlscheid, Chad and Noah Wangberg, and Alexa Wohlscheid; sister, Bernice Grinzinger of Mt. Pleasant; in-laws, Patricia Reihl, Ed and Sharon Wohlscheid and Janet Wohlscheid; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bob; and siblings, Richard Reihl, Lorraine Fox, Edward Reihl, Rose Courser, Helen Shaw, Eileen MacDonald, Raymond Reihl, and Katie McCoy. A Funeral Mass for Anna will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 8, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Father Andy Booms will preside. Rite of Committal will be in Calvary Cemetery following the Mass. After the committal, a luncheon will be held at Lincoln Reception Center (attached to the funeral home). The family will receive friends at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. with the Vigil Service beginning at 7 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Wednesday one hour prior to Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
