Arthur Blane Sellers

Arthur Blane Sellers, 76, of Remus, passed away on May 26, 2025. His departure leaves a profound emptiness in the hearts of all who knew him, but his memory will forever live on through the countless lives he touched.

Born on April 7, 1949, to Blane and Ettabelle (Chapman) Sellers, Art lived a life rich in laughter, love, and the simple joys of nature. A passionate outdoorsman, he found his greatest happiness with a fishing pole in hand, especially when casting for pike or smallmouth bass along the St. Mary's River. Cherokee Camp was his sanctuary, where countless memories were made and shared. Whether fishing, squirrel hunting, or collecting tackle, Art's love for the outdoors was as boundless as the lakes and woods he cherished.

Art was a steadfast family man who believed time spent together, whether in a boat, in the woods, or around a table, was life's truest reward. His children and grandchildren were the lights of his life, and he was never happier than when he could share his passions with them. Those who knew him will remember his calm presence, quick wit, and stubborn streak, all tempered by a heart as generous as it was loyal.

He had a soft spot for ice cream and any sweet treat, and he never passed up a chance to indulge, especially if it came with a side of laughter or a well-timed joke. Art had an easy smile, a warm laugh, and a willingness to help anyone, family, friend, or stranger, at a moment's notice. To know him was to know kindness, steadiness, and joy in life's simplest pleasures.

Art was preceded in death by his parents, Blane and Ettabelle; his beloved son, Brian Sellers; and his great-grandson, Lucas Sellers.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Kay Sellers; his children, Scott Sellers, Jereme Davis, and Derrick (Sam) Davis; daughter-in-law Sara Sellers; grandchildren Mitchell (Emily) Sellers, Cooper (Megan) Sellers, Mason Sellers, Ethan Sellers, Chloe Davis, and Dakota Davis. He is also remembered by his ex-wife, Nona Sellers; dear friends Danny and Diane Cook and Destry and Flora Romancito; and many extended family members and friends whose lives were brighter because of him.
