Audrey Langlois, 82, of Shepherd, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009, at Central Michigan Community Hospital. Her funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27, at the Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home, 2300 S. Lincoln Rd., Mt. Pleasant, with Father Thomas J. McNamara officiating. Burial will be in Lincoln Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. and on Friday one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Cancer Services. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Audrey was born Jan. 28, 1927, in Allegheny County, PA, the daughter of Alvin J. and Mary E. (Thompson) Smith. She married the late ONeil Langlois on July 30, 1948. Some of Audreys favorite pastimes were cooking, embroidering, and visiting the casino. She loved caring for her family and friends and spending time with her companion dog, Misty. She attended Sacred Heart Academy. Audrey is survived by four daughters, Leona Bufford, Nancy Durfee, and Sally (Mike) Merrifield, all of Mt. Pleasant, and Theresa Langlois of Shepherd; three grandchildren, Denise (Brian) Walton, Edward Merrifield, and Belinda Durfee; and three great-grandchildren, Mallory and Shelby Walton and Samantha Durfee. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, ONeil in 1992; son-in-law, Berdet Durfee; two brothers, Richard and Edwin Smith; and a sister, Betty Smith.
