Bambi Paciocco, 93, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at McClaren Central Michigan Hospital. Her memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 13, with Father Loren Kalinowski presiding. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the Mass. Her ashes will be laid to rest in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit, next to her husband. Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Parish where Bambi was a member. Envelopes are available at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home. Bambi was born May 18, 1919, in Sault Ste. Marie, Canada, daughter of the late Louis and Adeline (Tucci) Nanne. She married Nicola Paciocco on Jan. 28, 1945, in Sault Ste. Marie, Canada and they promptly moved to Detroit. Shortly after her husbands death in 1968, Bambi moved to Mt. Pleasant and has been a resident of Winchester Towers for the past 30 years. She was a wonderful cook, an avid fan of the Red Wings and Tigers, and was very close to her family. Bambi is survived by her daughter, Christine Taffs of Mt. Pleasant; two grandchildren, Brian Taffs of Mt. Pleasant and Valarie (Greg) Cook of Grand Rapids; and one great-granddaughter, Francesca Bambina Cook. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicola; sister, Connie Nardi; and brother, Michael Nanne.
