Barbara “Barbie" L. Davis

Barbara "Barbie" Davis, 70, passed away on June 20th, 2025 in Shady Oak Group Home in Mt Pleasant, surrounded by her siblings Kathy, Karen and Gale, her deceased parents Merle and Pat Davis, her home family Kali, Tanja, other staff and co-residents, who for decades provided Barbie with the most loving care and happy home, and her McLaren Hospice team. Barbie charmed all who met her with her sweet smile and cheerful personality. She will be remembered for her love of singing and dancing to Elvis and Johnny Cash, her delight in dressing up like a witch for Halloween and making her fun witch's cackle, and her passion for wearing as much bling as possible, including sparkly rings, tiaras, and bracelets. Prior to Barbie's passing, she was honored by a continuous flow of people whose lives she had graced and who lovingly graced hers, including her Mid-Michigan Industries staff, where she joyfully worked for many years, and her devoted case managers. Our endless gratitude to all who oversaw that Barbie was safe, loved, and supported in living her best life. Gale and Karen wish to also express their gratitude to their sister, Kathy, for her decades of dedication to Barbie as her guardian and provider of endless joy and "surprises in the mail." Although Barbie will be deeply missed, her bright spirit shall forever remain in our hearts.
