Barbara M. Lebaron

Barbara LeBaron, 76, of Clare passed away Friday, July 6, 2007, at home surrounded by her family. She was born March 31, 1931, in Flint, the daughter of Clyde and Leona (Andrew) Johnson. She married Melvin Mendenall Aug. 31, 1968 in Alma. She worked as a nurse at Gratiot Community Hospital in Alma and had owned a restaurant in Crystal. She enjoyed playing the organ and singing, but especially loved being with her family. Barbara is survived by two children, Cynthia (David Phelps) Randolph of Clare and Richard (Wendy) LeBaron of Ithaca; four grandchildren, Jacob LeBaron of Sumner, Brian LeBaron of Sumner, Michelle Edwards-Polich of Farwell, and Joelle Edwards of Farwell; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melvin Mendenall; three brothers; and two sisters. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned. Memorial contributions may be made to Clare County Hospice.
