Barbara M. Snyder

Barbara Snyder, 66, of Weidman, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at home. She was born July 31, 1946, in Pontiac, daughter of the late Owen and Angelique (Ouelette) Weddle. She married Dr. Faris Atchoo on September 23, 2000, in Pontiac. Some of her favorite pastimes were reading, dancing, and most of all, spending time with her family. Barb is survived by her husband, Dr. Faris Atchoo of Weidman; two children, Michelle (Kevin) Valin of Romeo and Christopher Snyder of Grand Rapids; brother, Barry (Toni) Weddle of Clarkston; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Al Weddle. Cremation has taken place and visitation will be held from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at Modetz Funeral Home, 100 E. Silverbell Rd., Orion, MI 48360, 248-371-3777. A service will follow at 5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available locally at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant.
