Barry Stanley Freedman

Barry Stanley Freedman passed away at the age of 74 on July 22, 2023, surrounded by family at his home in Shepherd, Michigan. He was born August 15, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan to parents Hymen and Belle (Kosofsky) Freedman.

He married Sandra Smith, the love of his life, who survives him. Together they shared a love centered on their faith and family. Abba, whom his children affectionately referred to him as, is survived by his children David (Kat) Freedman, Andrea Galvan (Kirk Kozak), Veronica (Brian) Myers, Johnathan (Kelsey) Freedman and Theodore Freedman. As well as many grandchildren who loved and adored him, Mia Freedman (Daniel Deming), Angelina Kaszuba-Myers, Emma Myers, William Myers, Mackenzie Myers, Jackson Myers and his great-grandson Sabastain Deming. He is also survived by his brothers Lawrence (Marilyn) Freedman and Michael (Renee) Freedman, many nephews and nieces, mother-in-law Joan Smith and sister-in-law Deborah (David) Sebastian.

Barry is reunited in heaven with his parents, beautiful daughter Devorah Anne and father-in-law Wesley Smith.

He will forever be remembered by his guidance and loving heart. A private burial has already taken place.
