Bernadette M. Herreshoff

Bernadette Herreshoff, 74, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at home, with her husband by her side. Cremation has taken place at Memorial Fields Crematory and the family is planning a service in late spring or early summer. Bernadette was born May 14, 1949, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, daughter of the late Fred and Mary (Scully) Cole. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in 1967 and married John K. Herreshoff on January 25, 1974, at Sacred Heart Church. She was employed by the State of Michigan as a registered nurse, retiring in 2009. She found great pleasure in gardening and crocheting. She loved her family and absolutely adored her granddaughters. Bernadette leaves behind her husband of nearly 50 years, John; two children, Carlie Herreshoff of Mt. Pleasant and John C. (Emily) Herreshoff of Ypsilanti; two granddaughters, Megan and Charlotte; siblings, Kathleen Cole of Winn, Margaret (Ernie) Fulk of Blanchard, Marilyn Cole of Mt. Pleasant, James (Beverly) Cole of Winn, Joanne (Mike) Lamb of Mt. Pleasant, and Betty (Ray) Roethlisberger of Alma; and many nieces and nephews.
