Bernita L. Hall, 83, of Mt. Pleasant died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004, at MidMichigan Medical Center in Midland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 13, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Robert Byrne officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at Lux Funeral Home on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. There will be a vigil service at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Visitation continues at the church on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart Academy Foundation. Envelopes are available at Lux Funeral Home. Bernita was born Aug. 5, 1920, in Beal City, the daughter of Louis and Louise (Kremsreiter) Martin. She married Herbert J. Hall on Oct. 16, 1948, at St. Philomena Church in Beal City. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish and enjoyed crocheting. Bernita is survived by three children, Sharlene Hansknecht of Rockford, Lynette Hall of Mt. Pleasant, and Kevin Hall of Mt. Pleasant; two grandchildren, Renae (Don) Gould of Lake Ann and Stacey Hansknecht of Rockford; one great-grandson, Dylan Gould; and one sister, Kathleen Martin. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herbert in 1991; daughter, Rosemary Hall; and son-in-law, Robert Hansknecht in 1983.
