Betty E. Taylor

Betty Taylor, 85, of Mt. Pleasant and formerly of Harbor Springs, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2017, at the Isabella County Medical Care Facility. Cremation has taken place and her memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 21, at Schiller Funeral Home in Harbor Springs with the Rev. Michael Meakin officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Harbor Springs Library, 206 S. Spring St., Harbor Springs MI 49740 or the Alzheimers Association Northern Michigan Chapter, 25200 Telegraph Rd., Suite 100, Southfield MI 48033. Betty was born February 26, 1931 in Flint, MI, daughter of the late H. Franklin and Adah May (Lee) Tewkesbury. She was employed as an office manager for Sara E. Smith, CPA for 27 years. She had also worked another 16 years for ITT in the Petoskey area. She loved the outdoors. Betty is survived by her daughter, Susan Taylor of Mt. Pleasant; three grandchildren, Rachel Guernsey and Andrea Boettner both of Mt. Pleasant, and Greg Corpe of Birmingham, AL; one sister, Margie Wilner; and several nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Dolly Ethier and Catherine Claes.
