Bonnie K. Dean

Bonnie Kay Dean, age 68, of Mt Pleasant, passed away Friday, October 9, 2015, at The Laurels of Mt Pleasant, after a long battle with kidney disease. Bonnie was born in Ann Arbor, MI, on April 5, 1947, the daughter of Delbert Glenn and Ruth R. (Foster) Sparks. She graduated from Ithaca High School in 1966. Bonnie was married to James Dean and became mother to his three daughters, Angela, Vianna and Valarie. After her husbands death she worked at Tendercare Nursing Home as a dietitian aid and also enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Bonnie is survived by her mother, Ruth R. Sparks of Rockville, IN; three step-daughters, Angela Dean of Indiana, Vianna Dean of Remus and Valarie and Tim Bishop of Mt Pleasant, seven step-grandchildren, 12 step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Patricia (James) Brown of Rockville, IN, sister-in-law, Janet Sparks of Marietta, Ohio; nephew, Aaron and Brandi Wolfgang; nieces, Sibylle Wolfgang of Kinross, Esther and Scott Stalnaker of Parkersburg, WV, Molly and Jason Denton of Deltona, FL and Audrey and Justin Rexroad of Marietta, OH. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Dean; father, Delbert Sparks; and brothers Ronald G. Sparks and Donald R. Chum Sparks. At Bonnies request there will not be any services. A memorial luncheon in her honor will be scheduled at a later date. Her wishes were to be cremated. Arrangement has been handled by Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. Her ashes will be interred at Forest Hill Cemetery next to her beloved husband Jim.
