Brian Schafer, 52, of Weidman, passed away Saturday, June 19, 2021, as a result of a single auto accident near Blanchard. He was born November 17, 1968, in Mt. Pleasant, son of Tom and Enid (Phenix) Schafer. A 1988 graduate of Chippewa Hills High School, Brian worked in the steel and timber industry. The things Brian enjoyed the most were spending time with his two little "stinkies" (daughters), fishing, and hunting at the Big Buck Lodge with his father, daughters, family, and friends. Brian is survived by his daughters, Randi Schafer and Casey Schafer, both of Weidman; mother, Enid Schafer of Weidman; siblings, Roxann Davis of Indianapolis, IN, Mike (Dawn) Schafer of Mesa, AZ, Annette (Dan) Schumacher of Weidman, Terry (Jean) Schafer of Weidman, Dale (Becky) Schafer of Remus, Mary (Steve) Pohl of Mt. Pleasant, Sandy (Marty) Wilson of Remus, and Denise (Brian) Sharrar of Mt. Pleasant; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Schafer; twin brother, Brad; and brother in-law, Dick Davis. Brian's memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 25, at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home with Deacon Jim Damitio officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. A luncheon will follow in Lincoln Reception Center. Brian's ashes will be laid to rest in St. Joseph the Worker Cemetery in Beal City following the meal . Memorial contributions may be made to his daughters, Randi and Casey Schafer.
