Bruce Edward Kent

Bruce Kent, 83, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022, at the Laurels of Mt. Pleasant.  Bruce was born on March 8, 1939, son of the late Charles and Louise (Hoisington) Kent in Gilmore Township.  He graduated with the class of 1958 from Weidman High School.  On January 11, 1964, Bruce married Evelyn Vinton in Isabella County.  Together they shared their life on the family property for more than 58 years.  Bruce was a Pipefitter at Dow Chemical for 30 years, retiring in 1994.  He enjoyed bow/rifle hunting and fishing.  He was a family man and always looked forward to playing horseshoes at family reunions. Bruce was a Deacon at the Presbyterian Church in Mt. Pleasant.  He will be missed by so many.  Bruce is survived by his wife, Evelyn; daughters, Ronda Kent of Mt. Pleasant, and Julie Kent of Ithaca; grandchildren, Sarah Irish, Hannah (John) Ross, Alexandra Kent, and Jeffrey Irish; great grandson, Johnathan Ross; siblings, Garey (Cheryl) Kent of Florida, Donna Land of Weidman, and Joyce (Bob) Myers of Mt. Pleasant; and many nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by both parents; siblings, Marven Hatch, Luannagene Stewart and Ernest Kent.  Cremation has taken place and there are no services scheduled at this time.   To sign the online guest book or leave a condolence for the family please visit www.CharlesRLux.com.
