Carol Sue Baldwin, 77, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on August 19, 2026 at Divine Living Center, after a hard fought battle with Parkinson disease.
She was born on December 4, 1948 in Alma, MI to Jack and Alice (Bish) Domke.
She grew up in St. Louis, MI and graduated in the class of 1967. She married Randy Baldwin on September 27, 1968 in St. Louis. They lived in North Carolina and Kansas while Randy was in the Air Force. They returned to Alma in 1972. Carol had a few careers in her life, U.S. Naval Department, administrative assistant at Dow for a year and a half, Friend of the Court, and she was a Realtor for Century 21, but her greatest joy in life was being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She enjoyed bowling, golfing, going to casinos around the country, and her 1 week on the island of St. Maarten every year.
She is survived by her husband, Randy Baldwin of 57 years; sons, Brent (Cathie) Baldwin of St. Louis, and Aaron (Shelly Thomas) Baldwin of Saginaw; sister, Sharon Thompson of Alma; granddaughters, Maci (Jacob) Barnes of Ithaca, Alyssa (Max Vereb) Baldwin of Breckenridge, Ellie Baldwin of Ithaca, and Peyton Kent of Lansing; 7 great-grandchildren, Alice Barnes, Aria Barnes, Hazel Barnes, Elijah Barnes, Callum Barnes, Karlee Vereb, and Bayla Vereb; sister in-laws Cheryl (John) Nametz of Tennessee, Pam (Bob) Green of Tennessee, and many nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Alice Domke; mother and father in-law, Maynard and Esther Baldwin; brother in-law, Joe Thompson.
The family would like to thank the staff of Divine Living and the Hospice Care Team for the kind loving care for Carol. They were a blessing and a comfort during her stay.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson Foundation or the Kirk Gibson Foundation.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time.
