Carol Ann Bellinger

Carol Bellinger, 59, of Mt. Pleasant passed away unexpectedly Thursday, November 30, 2017, at her home. A Funeral Mass for Carol will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, December 4, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Shepherd with Father Fred Kawka as celebrant. Burial will immediately follow in St. Leo Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. with the Vigil service beginning at 5:30 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Monday one hour prior to Mass. Carol was born January 18, 1958, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, daughter of Gerald and JoAnn (Paisley) Pung. After graduating from Montabella High School in 1976, she received her associates degree as a legal assistant from Ferris College. She married Terry Bellinger on July 14, 1978 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Edmore, Michigan. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish. She loved animals, but nothing compared to her love for her family, especially her grandchildren. Carol is survived by her husand of 39 years, Terry; two children, Matthew (Lauralyn) Bellinger of Mt. Pleasant and Mary Bellinger of Mt. Pleasant; five grandchildren, Daniel, Cassandra, Gabryella, Ruth, and Josie; mother, JoAnn Riley of Blanchard; twin sister, Cheryl (Richard) Chapko of Illinois and sister, Barbara (Tom) Ogletree of Blanchard; one niece; and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Pung; infant son, Luke Bellinger; step-mother, Blanche Pung; and step-father, Donald Riley.
