Carol Bierschbach, 75, of Beal City, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015, at Covenant Health Care in Saginaw. A Funeral Mass for Carol will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at St. Joseph the Worker Church in Beal City with Father Ricky Varner presiding. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall. The family will receive friends at the gathering room of the church on Friday from 4-8 p.m. with the Vigil beginning at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continues on Saturday one hour prior to Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital. Envelopes are available at the church or at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home. Carol was born Oct. 2, 1940, in Pontiac, daughter of the late Cyrus and Vivian (Black) Hart. A graduate of Shepherd High School 1958, she married Thomas Bierschbach on Oct. 15, 1960, at St. Philomena Church in Beal City. She was employed by the Davis Clinic and Central Michigan Community Hospital for a total of 51 years, retiring in 2012. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish. Some of her favorite pastimes were crocheting, cooking, canning, playing euchre and other card games, ice fishing, and watching the Detroit Tigers. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carol is survived by her husband of 55 years, Tom Bierschbach, two daughters, Debbie (Steven) Loeb of Lansing and Teresa Bierschbach of Beal City; two grandchildren, Joe Loeb and his fiance, Tabitha Perry of DeWitt and Jessica (Luke) Graham of Lansing; two great-grandchildren, April and Luke Graham; four siblings, Gloria (Scott) McKenzie of Lake, Paulette (Ty) Strong of Barryton, Cyrus Hart of Barryton, and Cindy Maneke of Evart; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sons, Joseph (1977) and John (2005).
