Carol Tice, 51, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away at home on Thursday, September 15, 2022, with her family by her side, Carol was born on May 5, 1971, in Saginaw, daughter of John and Judith (Scheanwald) Emmons. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School with the class of 1989. Carol then continued her education at CMU and received a Bachelor of Science degree. She started her work career in Ohio, at Cedar Point. Then moved back to Michigan and had 18 plus years of service at Wendy's. On July 7, 2007, Carol, in her parents back yard, married the love of her life, Brian Tice, in Mt. Pleasant. Carol enjoyed working with the people. She enjoyed sewing, her dogs meant the world to her and so did her family. She and Brian loved to hike and camp, a favorite spot was Nordhouse Dunes and Pictured Rocks. She will be greatly missed by so many. She is survived by her husband, Brian; both parents, John and Judy Emmons in Mt. Pleasant; siblings, Jennifer (Mark) Pappas of Ohio, and David (Heather) Emmons of Kentwood; great aunt, Dorothy Hughes of Saginaw; nieces and nephews, Connor Emmons, Nathan Emmons, Morgan Emmons, Maya Pappas, and Nora (Ramon) Alicea; and special friends, Allan (Sheri) Hunt of Howard City. A funeral service will be held in her honor at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at Zion Lutheran Church with pastors Jonathon Bakker and Garrick Beckett co-officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, September 19, 2022, from 4-7p.m. at the church and one hour prior to the service. Following the service, a luncheon will be held at the church. Carol will be laid to rest in Zion Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Breast Cancer Research or Zion Lutheran Church envelopes will be available at the Church or Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home.
