Carole Anne McWhorter, age 45, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Carole Anne was born on January 6, 1972 to Linda (Houghton) Aldrich and John C.McWhorter in Pensacola, FL. She grew up in Effingham, IL and graduated from Effingham High School in 1990. She was assistant manager at the Pizza Hut in Effingham. Carole liked reading, watching cooking shows on TV, puzzles, playing cards, dancing, coming to Michigan to visit her family; but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children & grandchildren.

Carole leaves to cherish her memory mother Linda Aldrich of Weidman and father John & Jody McWhorter of St. Elmo, IL; 3 sons, Mathew, Blaine and Gaige, 1 daughter, Hunter McWhorter all of Effingham, IL; 7 grandchildren, Hailey, Brian, Kaylee, Carson, Drayden, Aria and Braxon; step-sister, Shelly; and step-brother, Jacob. Carole is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many loving friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Emmett & Jeanne Houghton.

Services for Carole will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Maier Family Funeral Home. The family will meet with friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Weidman.

The family request those wishing to make a donation in Carole's memory may make it to the funeral home or to Linda Aldrich.
