Chad Steven Howard

Chad Howard, 35, of Blanchard, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2024, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Chad was born April 16, 1989, in Lakeview, son of Charles L. and Tina M. (Starkey) Howard. He graduated from Chippewa Hills High School in 2007. Chad married Jamie L. Mast on September 25, 2015, in Isabella County, Michigan. He had been employed by the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort. Some of his favorite pastimes were working on cars, cooking for his mom, riding 4-wheelers, camping, grilling, and sharpening knives. More than anything, he loved spending time with his son Caleb, and his nieces and nephews. Chad is survived by his wife, Jamie; son Caleb; parents, Charles and Tina Howard of Blanchard; Jason (Alyssa) Howard of Blanchard, Eric (Ashley) Howard of Blanchard, Ashley Garver of Mt. Pleasant, Tatiana Howard of Blanchard, Wasson Howard of Blanchard, Nellie Howard of Blanchard, and Akiiwaande Mkwa Howard of Blanchard; paternal grandmother, Linda Howard of Blanchard; and nieces and nephews, Remington, Kimber, Myla, and Briley, Hadley, and Ariana, Graham, Hudson, and Henry. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Charles F. Howard; maternal grandparents, Olin and Artina Starkey; and cousins, Eli Starkey and James Starkey. The family will receive friends at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family.
