Charles "Charlie Fredrick" F. Schinke

Charles Schinke, of Mt. Pleasant, known to many by his radio name, "Charlie Fredrick", passed away March 27, 2023, at McLaren Central Michigan at the age of 87. He was born July 22, 1935, in Greenville, Ohio, son of the late Robert and Norma Mae (Stickel) Schinke. He graduated from Greenville High School and received his bachelor's degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Charlie spent most of his life in radio throughout the Midwest and recently with 98.5 WUPS. He is survived by two children, Pam of Indiana and Fred of Iowa; and friends and caregivers, Earl and Doris Fox of Mt. Pleasant. He was preceded in death by his parents. Cremation has taken place at Memorial Fields Crematory and there are no services scheduled at this time.
