Charles Loren Kellicut

Charles L. Kellicut, 88, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Monday, November 12, 2018, at Woodland Hospice House. Cremation has taken place. A memorial will be held at a date to be determined. Chuck was born on April 18, 1930, in Riverdale, MI, son of the late Frank and Jessie (LaPaugh) Kellicut. A 1948 graduate of Vestaburg High School, Chuck married Joan Hubbard on February 21, 1953 in Vestaburg. He proudly served in the United States Army as a corpsman. He was a dedicated lifelong Detroit Tigers fan. Chuck was a member of the First Church of Christ in Mt. Pleasant. He enjoyed jogging and loved to travel in northern Michigan with his wife Joan, especially in the fall. Chuck worked for Central Michigan University as a computer programmer and retired in 1995. In recent years he enjoyed spending time watching old westerns. Chuck is survived by two children, Barbara McBrien of Berkley, MI, and Steven Kellicut of Mt. Pleasant; four grandchildren, Jordan (Laura) Kellicut, Kelly McBrien, Matthew McBrien and Marissa (Brandon) Jones; Two Great-Grandchildren Emery and Ezri Kellicut; sister Geraldine Courtney of Saint Louis; and a sister-in-law Sandra Elder of Mt. Pleasant. He was preceded in death by his wife Joan; his parents Frank and Jessie (LaPaugh) Kellicut, brothers; Dean, James, Melvin, Walter, Bernard and sister Audrey Shook.
