Charles Francis Nicholson

A minimalist in most things, with the most peaceful of life perspectives, Charles Francis Nicholson passed away peacefully, August 5, 2019 (age 82), in his residence at Crestwood Village in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. He was born on May 11, 1937, in Hopkinsille, KY, son of the late Jack Nicholson and Charlene (Thomason) Schmitt. Also predeceasing him was his sister, Susan Schmitt Henry; and wife, Donna. Charles is survived by his beloved daughters, Jennifer (Nicholson) Johnson and Kirsten Nicholson; grandchildren, Ryne and Cicely Johnson and Cordelia Brown Johnson; brother, James Nicholson; nephews, David and Nathan Henry, Jimmy and Jack Nicholson; nieces, Ann (Nicholson) Burney and Nancy (Nicholson) Jones; and first wife, Joyce Nicholson. A celebration of his life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, November 30, Lincoln Reception Center, 2300 S. Lincoln Rd., Mt. Pleasant, MI (attached to Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home). The family will receive friends beginning at 11 a.m. In honor of him, and in keeping with his wishes, we will share stories, quotes, and memories that reflect his happy and humorous perspective on life.
