Charlie Thomas Holliday

Charlie passed in peace with his wife Maryellen by his side on Thursday, July 27, 2017. They were married on September 8, 1963.

Charlie was born on July 4, 1943 to Ben and Hilda (Johnson) Holliday. Charlie's greatest joy was his boys and grandson; he loved watching his grandson Bennie play sports. Charlie and Maryellen enjoyed traveling together. Charlie had worked for Gibson for 35 years. He was an avid Detroit Tiger fan; he enjoyed fishing and his many friendships as he was a real people person. Charlie will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Maryellen; sons, Ben and Jay Holliday; grandson, Bennie; sisters, Geraldine Myers, Emmagene (John) Whaley, Sue (Richard) Harsh and many nieces and nephews.

Charlie was preceded in death by his brother, Darol Holliday as an infant.

A Gathering of family and friends is scheduled for Wednesday, August 2, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Maier Family Funeral Home, 5483 W. Weidman Road, Weidman.
