Charlotte Yvonne "Snookie" Weber, 85, of Beal City passed away August 25, 2022. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 22, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Beal City with Father Thomas Held as celebrant and Father Thomas J. McNamara as homilist. Following the Mass, a luncheon will be held at the Beal City Knights of Columbus Hall. Snookie's ashes will be interred in St. Joseph Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the gathering space of the church on Wednesday, September 21 from 4-7 p.m. with the Vigil Service beginning at 7 p.m. Visitation continues Thursday one hour prior to Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph the Worker Catholic School or Beal City Sports Boosters. Snookie was born September 10, 1936, in Boston, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Daniel and Charlotte (Pawlowski) Nolan. Immediately her father called her "My Baby Snooks". Snookie proudly graduated from Boston Girls High School in 1954. She worked in Filene's Basement and at the John Hancock building in downtown Boston. At the encouragement of her friends, she attended a USO dance where she met a soldier who asked, "The prettiest girl in the room" to dance. That solder was John "Fuzz" Weber who was stationed at Fort Devens, Massachusetts. They were married in Angola, IN on June 16, 1956. Their marriage was blessed and celebrated at St. Philomena Church in Beal City, Michigan on July 28, 1956. Snookie had a joyful heart and greeted everyone with a smile. She was fun, friendly, outgoing, a great conversationalist and enjoyed meeting people. She loved traveling and spending time with family and friends. Snookie was an excellent cook, loved to entertain, and over the years taught countless children to swim and dive in her backyard pool. Snookie enjoyed music, classic movies, stage performances, gardening, and bowling. There was an extraordinary place in "Nana's" heart for her grandchildren and great grandchildren who all knew, "If you can't say something nice don't say anything at all." Her lessons of acceptance, kindness and grace will live on with all those who loved her. Snookie is survived by her children, Deborah (Dave) Farley of Dover NH, Rick (Pam) Weber, Daniel (Chris) Weber, and Amy (Kevin) Salisbury all of Beal City; grandchildren, Mark (Anna) Weber, Paul (Amanda) Weber, Chad (Korin) Weber, Ryan Weber, Melissa Weber, Kevin (Shelby) Weber, Cal Salisbury, and Carson Salisbury; great grandchildren, Grace, Sophia, Brody, Madeline, Charlotte, Larrissa, Grant, Reese, Rhett and Baylor; sister, Helen Chateauneuf; sisters in-law, Jane Nolan, Millie Weber and Shirley Weber; brother in-law, Ed Weber; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Weber; son, Scott Weber; sister, Elaine Bennett; and brothers, Daniel Nolan and Paul Nolan.
