Cheryl Lin (Alexander) Bronson

Cheryl Lin "Cheri" (Alexander) Bronson, 64, of Blanchard, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 28, 1960, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Cheri was the eldest of four children of the late David and Ruth (Rodgerson) Alexander.

A 1978 graduate of Montabella High School, Cheri continued her education at Marion Wesleyan College and Southwest Missouri State University. On October 6, 1979, she married the love of her life, Duane Bronson, at the Brockway Church in Lakeview, Michigan. Together they built a beautiful life centered around faith, family, and service to others.

Cheri was a woman of deep faith, a natural caretaker, and a devoted homemaker who found joy in opening her home to others. A gifted cook and gracious hostess, she loved gathering family and friends around the table. She also worked as a natural health practitioner, always seeking ways to encourage and uplift those around her.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 46 years, Duane, and their children: Krista (Ryan) Tice of Alma, Adam (Jenn) Bronson of Maumee, OH, Isaiah (Emily) Bronson of Redford, Elijah (Drew Penrod) Bronson of Ft. Wayne, IN, Shakinah (Marcus) Amaro of Dearborn, and Cherish Bronson of Alma. Cheri also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Braelyn, Mikayla, and Deklan Tice; Thomas "Bear" and Caroline "Ella" Bronson; and Theo Amaro, who brought her endless joy.

She will be deeply missed by her siblings: Michael (Benita) Alexander of Union, MO, Tamara (Shawn) Mueller of Poolville, TX, and Charles "Joe" (Millissa) Alexander of Farmville, NC.

In addition to her parents, Cheri was preceded in death by her loving in-laws, Larry and Margaret Bronson.

A funeral service celebrating Cheri's life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 28, at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home with Pastor Isaiah Bronson of the Northville Christian Assembly of God and Pastor Patricia Tefft of the Mancelona Free Methodist Church officiating. A luncheon will follow at Lincoln Reception Center. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 27 from 5-8 p.m. and on Thursday, August 28 beginning one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Cheri's memory are invited to consider a contribution to the wishes of the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Cheri will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her gift of hospitality, and her boundless love for her family. Her presence was a blessing to all who knew her, and her legacy of kindness will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
