Cheryl K. Reen

Cheryl K. Reen, 51, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Friday, April 1, 2011. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, April 7, at Lintz Funeral Home, 6038 Prospect Rd., Indian River. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the service begins. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes are available at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant where local arrangements were made. Cheryl was born December 2, 1959 in Orlando, FL, the daughter of Douglas and Barbara (Abbey) Johnson. She served in the U.S. Navy from 1979-1985 as a Cryptologic Technician. Cheryl especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She also loved camping, snowmobiling and had a great passion for horses. She recently spent a week at a dude ranch with her mother. Cheryl most recently worked for Aleda E. Lutz VA Memorial Center in Saginaw, University of Michigan by satellite in Petoskey and several other jobs including Isabella County Court House. She is survived by her son Eric of Mt. Pleasant; step-son, Gary Reen, Jr. of Detroit, step-daughter Stacy (Aaron) Gruss of Beal City; mother, Barbara Johnson of Levering; brothers, Mark (Janet) Johnson of Gwinn, David (Amy) Johnson of Wichita, KS, and Kenneth (Georgia) Johnson of Levering; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father.
