Christal Lynn Mcarthur

Christal Lynn McArthur, age 42, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025. She was born on January 6, 1983, and was the cherished daughter of Richard Eugene McArthur and Lorene Kay (Netmop) McArthur.

Christal attended Gladwin High School and proudly completed her education through the special education program at Mt. Pleasant High School. She lived a life defined by gentleness, love, and bravery. For the past 15 years, she made her home at Country Place AFC Senior Care Center in Mt. Pleasant, where she was deeply loved by both residents and staff. Kind-hearted and thoughtful, she was always interested in others and genuinely wanted everyone around her to be happy. Christal showed her affection in tender, meaningful ways, often through coloring pictures for others, a simple gift that carried great meaning and joy.

Family was at the center of Christal's world. She treasured time spent with those she loved and shared her warmth freely, offering smiles, presence, and heartfelt connection. She left a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by her loving father, Richard Eugene McArthur; her siblings, Christina K. McArthur of Mt. Pleasant, Alex (Alyssa) McArthur of Farwell, Nichole (Mike) LaSart of Sandford, Angela (Gary) Cutright of Gladwin, and Ron (Paige Garret) Groh of Lake; cousins, Don and Brenda Schlegel; along with extended family and many caregivers who became like family to her.

Christal was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Lorene Kay (Netmop) McArthur, and her grandparents, Eugene O. McArthur, Edith M. (Frantz) McArthur, William C. Netmop Sr., and Mavis J. (Pitz) Netmop.

Christal's funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 16, at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home with Pastor Doyle Perry officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. Following, a luncheon will be held in Lincoln Reception Center (attached to the funeral home).

Even in her passing, Christal found a way to help others. As an organ donor, she quietly gave a final gift, one of hope, comfort, and life, reflecting the same gentle and caring heart that defined her every day.
