Christopher Michael Verona, age 60, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Brittany Manor in Midland, Michigan, after a courageous journey with early-onset dementia. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on October 17, 1965, Chris was one of three sons born to Robert and Ida (Krushinski) Verona. He grew up in Murrysville, PA, where he was known for his kindness and easy sense of humor, always able to make those around him laugh.
Chris stayed active and engaged throughout his life, participating in a variety of sports during his childhood and high school years. In 1983, he graduated from Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville, PA. His warmth, dedication, and ability to connect with others carried into adulthood, where he became a real estate agent. Blessed with contracting skills, Chris later built several homes in Murrysville and the surrounding areas.
Chris leaves behind his children, James Verona and Olivia Verona, both of Pittsburgh; grandson, Steele; mother, Ida Verona of Midland; brothers, Robert (Susan) Verona Jr. of Clayton, NC and Michael (Korene) Verona of Midland; and nieces and nephews, Brooks Verona, Bennett (fiancée Rachel Dwyer) Verona, Paige (Simon) Behr, Christian (Sarah) Dover, Madison (fiancé Zach Marcoz) Dover, Colton Dover, Maci Verona, and Carter Verona. For many years Chris shared a meaningful and devoted relationship with Sharon Jack, who cared deeply for him and remained an important part of his life.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Verona.
Chris has been cremated. A private gathering for immediate family will be held to honor Chris's life.
