Clara Elizabeth Frick

Clara Frick, 86, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Northwoods Nursing Center in Farwell. She was born December 11, 1938, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, the youngest of eight children born to the late August and Hedwig (Ruess) Frick. She followed her elder siblings, August, Otto, Eugene, Carl, Joseph, Frank, and Rose Marie.

A graduate of Beal City High School in 1957, Clara earned her bachelor's degree from Aquinas College in 1966. A faithful woman, Clara served as a Dominican Nun for 9 years, teaching in catholic schools for 5 years before entering the public school system. She also taught in Clare, Mt. Pleasant, and Beal City, retiring after 23 years. She enjoyed nature walking, reading, and volunteering at St. Cecilia's School in Clare.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Marlene Frick of Monroe and many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her 7 siblings.

A Funeral Mass for Clara will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 8, at Our Lady of Hope in Clare. Monsignor Francis Koper will preside. Visitation will be one hour before Mass. A luncheon will follow. Clara's ashes will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant following the luncheon.
