Clayton (Andy) Sherman Andrus Jr, age 85, of Luther passed away on, Saturday, July 20, 2019.

Andy was born on January 30, 1934 to Clayton S and Marjorie (Scott) Andrus Sr in Van Wert, Ohio. Andy was proud of his landscaping business that he ran for over 20 years in Mecosta. He loved to work on antique cars, collecting guns, reading books and working outdoors. Andy served on the Mecosta Township Fire Department as a firefighter/EMT for over 5 years.

Andy is survived by Janet E. Andrus; children, David A. (Sheela) Andrus, Timothy S. Andrus and Linda D (Ron) Munson; grandchildren, Jered, Matthew, Timothy, Samantha, and Wilma; great grandchildren, Elaidye, Alexis, Dylan, Eliza and Zoey Andrus, siblings, Richard Andrus, Sandra (Marvin) Krontz; William (Alice) Andrus, Ronald (Joni) Andrus, Robert (Nancy) Andrus, Carolyn (Don) Burke, Gerald (Sharon) Andrus, Sherman "Ed" (Nancy) Andrus, David Andrus, Sheila Petre, and Joann (Loren) Webb; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Andy was preceded in death by his parents; children, Randy K. Andrus and Susan K. Andrus; grandchildren, Joshua and Jason Andrus; siblings, Bonnie Fletcher, Mildred Hyatt, Ruth McGarey, Constance Andrus, and Mary Louise Andrus.

A Memorial Gathering in Andy's memory will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 from 3 to 6 P.M. to visit with family and friends. The Gathering will be at Maier Family Funeral Home 5483 W. Weidman Road in Weidman, MI.
