Cora E. Enman, age 76, passed away Tuesday, April 26 at Woodland Hospice House. She was born on January 21, 1941, in Klamath Falls, Oregon, to Walter and Bertha Enman. After graduating from Henley High School, She attended Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington where she received her Bachelors degree. She then attended Michigan State University where she earned a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance and continued there several years taking post-graduate courses. Cora began her teaching career at Findlay College in Findlay Ohio, and then joined the music faculty at Central Michigan University in 1979 where she remained for the rest of her career, retiring in 2012. Cora will be missed by her many colleagues and friends, and all the many students to whom she was teacher, mentor and friend. She is survived by her brother Robert, niece Christie (Dan), nephew Jerry (Jonna), and four great-nieces: Marie, Paige, Teagan, and Lisa. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jim. Cremation has taken place and her remains will be carried to Oregon. A Celebration of Life event will be held on a date to be determined.
