Daniel G. Mcgarry

Daniel McGarry, 57, of Alma and formerly of Shepherd passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at his residence. Cremation has taken place and no formal services are planned at this time. The family is being served by the Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home, 2300 S. Lincoln Rd., in Mt. Pleasant. Dan was born June 9, 1951, in Piqua, Ohio, the son of the late Robert D. and Mary B. (Matthews) McGarry. He graduated from Shepherd High School in 1970 and was employed in the kitchen at Gratiot Medical Center for over 35 years. Dan is survived by two brothers, Roger McGarry of Lewisville, TX and Robert (Sue) McGarry of Shepherd, MI; his sister, Julie Hubbell of Lewisville, TX; his niece, Miranda McGarry of Shepherd, MI, and his nephew, Joseph McGarry of Mt. Pleasant, MI. Everyone dies, and while each of our deaths will elicit tears of sorrow from our loved ones and friends, some of us will die under better circumstances than others. Dan suffered from an illness for the last several years and finally succumbed to its effects. He is finally at peace.
