Daryl G. Kusbel

Daryl G. Kusbel, 30, of Shepherd died Monday, Sept. 19, 2005 at home. His funeral will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, at Lux Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Pastor Scott McKee of Mt. Pleasant Community Church officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Michigan. Envelopes are available at Lux Funeral Home. Daryl was born Feb. 11, 1975 in Alma, the son of David and Nora (Showalter) Kusbel. He graduated from Shepherd High School in 1993. He atttended Northwood University in Midland where he played four years of football. On Sept. 18, 1999, he married Jennifer DeWitt. Daryl worked as a sales rep for Centennial Wireless and enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing. Daryl is survived by his wife of six years, Jennifer; his parents, David (Pam) Kusbel of Shepherd and Nora (Joe) Johnston of Winn; two brothers, Dan (Becky) Kusbel of Mt. Pleasant and James Hughes of Mt. Pleasant; one sister, Juli Kusbel of Weidman; maternal grandmother, Virginia Showalter of Mt. Pleasant; paternal grandmother, Irene Kusbel of Whiting, Ind.; and his niece and nephew, Georgia and Brendan Kusbel. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Russell Showalter; and paternal grandfather, Benedict Kusbel.
