David Lee Campbell

David Lee Campbell was born on October 21, 1950 to Patrick and Lois (Munn) Campbell in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, along with his younger sisters Nancy Haynes and Beth Campbell.  David passed away peacefully at McLaren Central Michigan Hospital on Friday, April 3, 2026.  David attended Mt. Pleasant High School, graduating in 1968.  He went on to be employed with Long and Wetzel in Mt. Pleasant as well as Summit Oil of Mt. Pleasant.  He retired from Central Michigan Cement Company of Mt. Pleasant.

David enjoyed deer hunting in the Upper Peninsula in Big Bay, Michigan.  He enjoyed snowmobiling at the I-500 in the Upper Peninsula and also enjoyed attending his nephew's sporting events.  Every year he vacationed in Big Bay with the love of his life Cheryl Fordyce, visiting friends and going to the casino.

David is survived by his sisters Nancy (Al) Haynes of Mt. Pleasant, and Beth Campbell of Mt. Pleasant.  He is survived by his significant other, Cheryl Fordyce of Mt. Pleasant and her son Kevin (Wendee) Mullikin of Freeland, Michigan.  He is also survived by two nephews, Michael Haynes of Mt. Pleasant and Matthew Haynes of California.  David was preceded in death by his parents Patrick and Lois (Munn) Campbell.

The family will be holding a memorial service for David, to be announced at a later date.
