David Andrew Cascarelli

David Cascarelli, 57, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016, at St. Marys Hospital in Saginaw. A celebration of his life will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, March 26, at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home with his brother-in-law, Gary Leftwich, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery followed by a luncheon at the funeral home. The family will receive friends on Friday from 3-7 p.m. and on Saturday one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospital Hospitality House, 604 Emerson St., Saginaw MI 48601. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. David was born Feb. 20, 1959, in Mt. Pleasant, son of the late Andrew and Eleanor (Brastrom) Cascarelli. He graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in 1978. He lived in Lapeer for 31 years where he and Mary raised their family. He was a licensed realtor and had worked for Thumb Alarm in Lapeer. He has spent the last four years in Mt. Pleasant where he was employed by The Delfield Company. David is survived by his wife Mary Cascarelli of Lapeer; two sons, Dominic and Andrew Cascarelli of Davison; five siblings, Sandy (Gary) Leftwich of Cadillac, Sam Cascarelli of Mt. Pleasant, Mary Jo (Ashe) Cascarelli-Wahba of Atascadero, CA, Andrea (Marty) Salisbury of Mt. Pleasant and Angela (Mark) Linton of Midland; mother-in-law, Carm Calabrese; five sisters-in-law, Rose (Dan) DeAnda, Anna (Rich) Calabrese, Sylvia (Dave) Hitchcock, Felicia Calabrese, and Lori (Todd) Hunt; and 11 nephews and one niece. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor in 1976 and father, Andrew in 2016.
