David L. Cross

David L. Cross, 56, of Mt. Pleasant passed away October 5, 2008 at Central Michigan Community Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 8, at the Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Vredeveld officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 7, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation continues at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the service begins. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. David was born September 1, 1952, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Warren and Joann (Flynn) Cross. He married Katherine Brickner on September 4, 1985 in Charlevoix, Michigan. David retired from the Mt. Pleasant Center in October of 2007 after 30 years.Some of his favorite pastimes were bowling, hunting, fishing and golf. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. David is survived by his wife, Katherine; his sons, Jeff and Scott Cross of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Izybel Cross and MacKenzye Pettit both of Mt. Pleasant; one sister, Diane (Dave) Tilmann of Reed City; three brothers, Warren Duke Cross of Curran, Chris (Arvella) Cross and Steve Cross both of Shepherd; and mother-in-law Rosie Sprague. He was preceded in death by his parents.
