David G. Frick, 73, of Mt. Pleasant died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2005 at Gratiot Medical Center in Alma. His funeral will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, at First Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant with Pastor Dan Currie officiating. Burial will be in Lincoln Township Cemetery. Friends may call at Lux Funeral Home on Monday from 1-5 and 6-9 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Frick family. Dave was born Dec. 1, 1931 in Oakland County, the son of Clayton and Alice (Howell) Frick. He married Elizabeth Lawson on June 10, 1955 in Angola, Indiana. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1949-1953 during the Korean War. He spent the majority of his career as a self-employed truck driver. Some of his favorite pastimes were fishing, hunting and music, playing such instruments as the violin, harmonica and accordion. His passion in life was his strong faith and leading others to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. But the most important aspect of his life was his family, especially his wife, who was everything to him. Dave is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elizabeth; five children, David Frick Jr. of Kalkaska, Michael (Marsha) Frick of Traverse City, Sandra (Gordon) Williams of Blanchard, Trish (Joe) Stanley/Bruhmuller of Remus, and Teresa Frick of Mt. Pleasant; his adopted daughter, Vickie Cook of Mt. Pleasant; 17 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clayton (Barbara) Frick of Holly and Robert (Reva) Frick of Farwell; two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Frick and Margo Frick; and brother-in-law, Ken Morse. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ray and Don Frick; sister, Viola Morse; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Brosier.
