David was born May 18, 1959, in South Haven, the son of Ronald and Faye (Estes) Shoff. He married Vickie Yuncker on July 27, 1986, in Mt. Pleasant. David was and will forever be our husband, father, son, brother, and friend. During years of health issues he amazed us with his strength and forward looking attitude. Though he may not have had as much time as some, in the time he did have he lived more than most. David enjoyed many things in life, and at the top of the list was his family. Together they enjoyed many happy hours on Coldwater Lake with their pontoon boat and numerous family camping trips to Disney World when the girls were younger. He loved having family and friends over to watch a game or for a boat ride or backyard cookout. Davids steaks and boat punch were legendary and was always served with a welcoming smile. He worked for Coyne Oil Company as a warehouse supervisor for many years. His passion was designing and building new homes and always had the next house plan in the back of his mind. As a sports fan he followed golf and Tiger Woods closely. He also followed the Detroit Tigers, but being originally from southern Illinois, David was, and always will be, a St. Louis Cardinals fan at heart. Go Cards! With the unwavering support from the love of his life Vickie and their family, David faced his health challenges over the years and dealt with them courageously and gracefully. He weathered the bad times and welcomed the good ones, and his strength and resolve set an example for everyone who knew him. We know he is in a better place now, and while we are saddened at his passing, we are stronger for having known him. David is survived by his wife, Vickie; three daughters, Jessicca (Larry) Sommer, Brittney Shoff, and Chelsea Shoff, all of Mt. Pleasant; father, Ron (Barb) Shoff of Florida; mother, Faye (Brad) Waldrop of Berrien Center; three siblings, Danny (Jana) Shoff of Marion IL, Debbie (Dwain) Vaupel of Marion IL, and Denise (Hicks) Watson of Hendersonville TN; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rick (Jean) Yuncker, Cindy (Andy) Spence, Marty Yuncker, Mark (Denise) Yuncker, and Amy Himes; 20 nieces and nephews; and his faithful Pug, Tyson. He was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Jerry and Kitty Yuncker.
