Dawn Pung

Dawn Pung, 49, of St. Louis and formerly of Beal City passed away Monday, Dec. 19, 2016, at her home. Cremation has taken place and a Funeral Mass for Dawn will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Beal City with Father Ricky Varner as celebrant and Deacon Larry Fussman assisting. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday, Dec. 28, from 3-7 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Visitation continues on Thursday one hour prior to Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the church or at Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home. Dawn was born June 9, 1967, in Mt. Pleasant, daughter of Donald P. and Diana L. (Stanley) Pung. She graduated from Beal City High School in 1985. She is survived by four children, Diane Pung of Weidman, Michael Contreras of Alma, Andrew Contreras of Alma, and Anthony (Matt) Contreras of St. Louis; six grandchildren, Madison and Dante Riggs and Keegan, Kamron, Karmello, and Kingston Contreras; parents, Don and Diana Pung of Beal City; siblings, Debbie Grewe of Georgia, Dennis Pung of Weidman, Darlene (Ed) Heimbuch of Colorado, Donna Bell of St. Louis, Doris (Bill) Hensley of Colorado, Deanna Pung of Colorado, Dan (Susan) Pung of Beal City, and Dottie Mueller of Ypsilanti; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Dean; and sister, Deidre Deedee.
